Vessel of Light Message us
From Voice to Legacy

Every family has a storyteller.

Mom, Dad, a grandmother, a zeide — Vessel of Light turns their memories into a real book: weekly recorded conversations, crafted into chapters that sound exactly like them, printed for your family to keep.

A sample page — set the way every Vessel of Light book is set.

You've heard the stories in pieces.

At the table on Friday night. In the car. On the phone, when your father suddenly remembers the store he swept as a boy, or your mother the songs her own father sang, or the boat, or the year everything changed. The stories surface, they glow for a moment — and then dinner is over.

And every time, the same thought: someone should be writing this down.

Someone should. That's what we do.

How a Vessel of Light memoir is made

Step one

The storyteller talks.

Weekly recorded conversations with a warm, skilled interviewer — from their own home, by phone or video. No writing, no homework, no pressure. Just their memories, drawn out gently, week by week.

Step two

We craft.

Her spoken words are shaped into flowing chapters — their humor, their expressions, their way of telling it, elevated to the page. The family says: "That's exactly them."

Step three

Your family holds the book.

A full-length, professionally edited and typeset book of their life — printed, real, made to be read and reread for generations.

We never invent a word. Every story in the book is theirs.

One book. Three gifts.

For them

The telling itself. A whole life reviewed out loud — remembered, witnessed, honored. For many elders, the weekly conversations become the part they treasure most.

For your family

The names, the places, the recipes, the hard years no one talks about — captured now, while you can still ask, in the voice you'll always recognize.

For always

A book outlives memory. L'dor vador — from generation to generation — their story stays in the family's hands, and their good name with it.

Questions families ask

Does the storyteller need to write anything?

No. They talk — that's all. The interviewer guides the conversations, we do every bit of the writing, and your storyteller gets to simply remember out loud.

What if they say their life isn't interesting enough for a book?

Many storytellers begin exactly there. Drawing out the stories they don't realize are remarkable is the interviewer's craft — it's what the sessions are for.

Who can be the storyteller?

Anyone. Mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers — many families begin with Mom, but every voice that carries your family's story is welcome here.

How does it begin?

With one conversation. We'll talk about your storyteller, choose the right package size together, and schedule the first session. Packages begin at $5,000, and you can move up to a larger book at any point.

Give the gift of their story.

Send a message and tell us a little about them. We'll take it from there.
